Real Wedding: Swanky Southampton Affair

I may be a bit biased, since I had a tented wedding myself, but I love tented weddings. I do. I love creating this fabulous experience for your guests literally from the ground up. Adding details throughout the day that make the space truly your own. Kristin and Jarret did just that. They had a truly scrumptious wedding. It was magical. I loved every single day of being apart of their wedding day. I'll let the images speak for themselves:

Real Wedding :: A Manhattan Soiree

One of my most favorite things about Liz and Matt's wedding is that they had a theme, they stuck with it but they didn't over do it. It was a very classy cocktail reception at Studio 450 this Summer. They created an atmosphere for their guests that was sophisticated, chic and above all, they had tons of room for dancing! Which the guests did a ton of.

Check out some fabulous details, shot by my amazingly talented friend, Trent Bailey:

We had so much fun at Kristin and Jarret's wedding in June in Southampton and it looks like they did as well:

Fabulous Friday: Its Almost August?

Has anyone else noticed that 2010 is completely whipping by? I'd love to know where the brakes are on this calendar. I have so many goals for 2010 that I haven't even begun to work on simply because there hasn't been enough time to really dig into them.

Anyways, there are some good things floating around this week that I wanted to point out:

Southern Magazines has put up some breathtaking images that you can vote on for inclusion in the next magazine. They are also looking for image submissions for the IT LIST. The photos up there really are beautiful.

Charelene at Sweet Chic Events in Chicago wrote a fabulous post on what your venue coordinator is not, a must read for brides!

Chelsea Clinton gets married tomorrow ~ love this quote found on The Huffington Post: "Who Cares if Chelsea Clinton Is Getting Married?". Check out all their articles here if you do care.

We've got a beautiful wedding to coordinate tomorrow: Congratulations Patty & Joe!

Real Wedding: Blair & Matt

When I first met with Blair and Matt, all I could think was Southern Hospitality. Since both are from the South and both are the sweetest people on the planet, it seemed fitting. And there New York City Wedding was just that: full of Southern Hospitality.

They were married in their parish church and the reception was held at the Housing Works Bookstore, a place they've frequented often throughout their courtship. They added in some fun and special touches to make their day their own: Matt's mother handpainted the table names {children's story books}, there was a dress up photobooth, their friend DJ'ed the wedding and Blair's favorite cafe made the cake. It was a day filled with love and I am so happy that I was able to be apart of it!

Real Wedding: Jessica & Kip

If ever there were a cuter couple, Jess & Kip would certainly give them a run for their money. Seriously, every time I met with these two, all you feel is warm and fuzzy since they are so loving and generous. And it doesn't help that Jess is practically a model {and yes, she works at a modeling agency}. Their Brooklyn wedding was a day of warmth, love and close knit family. They chose to have their ceremony at Jessica's childhood church followed by a reception at My Moon, an amazing restaurant in Williamsburg. You must eat there. Soon. The pita will knock your socks off.

Real Wedding: Lauren & Leon

When I met Lauren, the first thing that struck me was her warmth - she literally is one of the nicest and most generous people I've ever come across. Now, the fact that she was marrying a fellow South African ... she earned even more brownie points in my book!

Lauren and Leon chose to have their wedding at Battery Gardens for its simple beauty and downtown location. Its an inviting space and you can create whatever you want in terms of decor simply because the space is a blank canvas - perfect for Lauren's dream of a fall themed day. Their wedding day had beautiful sun and warm-ish temps despite it being November!

Real Wedding: Kim & Chad

I would have loved to get married at a Vineyard since its no secret that the husband and I love our vino! So when I had the opportunity to help Kim & Chad with their wedding at Duck Walk Vineyards on the North Fork of Long Island, I was thrilled! This outpost of Duck Walk {their home base is in Southampton, NY} is relatively new but has such a beautiful tasting room - filled with rich woods and large open space. If you like wine, tastings and a fabulous venue, this place fits the bill.

Oh and the bride made ALL the floral arrangements, bouquets and boutinnieres herself. Unbelievably fabulous!
